About Me:
Ever since I began my home financing career in 2003, I’ve always found it immensely rewarding to be my borrowers’ personal guide through each stage of the transaction – especially when their loan closes without a hitch. I’m proud to represent HMA, as the company shares my philosophy of helping all sorts of borrowers, including first-time buyers, military veterans, and those with non-traditional credit histories. And since HMA’s only business is mortgages, I have access to a wide array of loan options, including VA and FHA loans featuring low down payments. After we discuss your personal and financial goals, I will present your mortgage options and explain their benefits in everyday language. I’m a New Mexico native and served in the U.S. Air Force before making a career move to home financing. Personal and professional integrity is equally important to me now as it was during my military career. When I’m not serving my borrowers, I enjoy jeeping, flying and boating – three outdoor activities that enable me to enjoy Colorado’s breathtaking scenery. I look forward to helping you make Colorado your home, too.

What you need to know about reverse mortgages

What is a reverse mortgage?

A reverse mortgage is a home loan that offers flexible payment options to borrowers age 55+ *.  You can use a reverse mortgage to purchase a new primary residence or refinance your home to improve cash flow, to make a large purchase, to consolidate debt, or to establish a line of credit.

When you have a reverse mortgage, you still own your home.  You are responsible for the maintenance of your home, the property taxes, homeowner’s insurance, and HOA dues.  When it comes time to repay your loan, you will pay the loan along with any interest and fees that have accrued**.

When you reach a “Maturity Event”, your loan needs to be repaid. Maturity events include, but are not limited to, when you no longer live in the home as your primary residence, you sell the home, you pass away.

Call me to discuss your options and to find out if your home qualifies for a reverse mortgage and if this loan option is right for you.
